You don’t have to be at the gym for hours to get a good workout in! Most of my workouts are usually 45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes, you need to work smarter not harder when it comes to working out, especially when you want to maximize your workouts. Check out some of my go-to tips!
1. Ditch your phone
This one is really hard for me but I notice such a difference when I’m not on my phone during my workouts. Constantly checking your phone will make you less focused and you won’t be utilizing your time properly. You can use for music but keep the IG scrolling to a minimum…even if you are taking a water break!
2. Controlled movements
Try to not move through your movements too fast. Focusing on controlled movements will hugely benefit your workout and you’ll feel a difference the next day. Try slowly lowering in a squat or adding a 2-4 second pause while doing hip thrusts.
3. Keep the breaks to a minimum
The longer you wait between exercises the more your heart rate will go down. Doing supersets or circuits will keep your heart rate up and help burn more fat!
4. Mix up your workouts
Sometimes you don’t need a harder routine, you need to just switch it up! Try pilates, a hike, or a new workout class to keep you on your toes! Even working out with a friend can help switch up your normal routine.
