My Favorite Energy-Boosting Habits

The mid-afternoon slump can hit hard! For me, boosting my energy means improving my focus and productivity. What you do daily affects how motivated and active you are. I think it’s super important throughout the day to do natural habits that will in return boost your energy levels. How you feel throughout the day is very dependent on how you treat your body! Try doing these few habits throughout the day to boost your energy and make the most of your days.

Go carb-less for lunch

The type of food you consume at lunch can have a huge effect on how you feel throughout the day. If you are struggling to maintain energy try removing non vegetable containing carbs from your lunch. Try consuming protein, veggies and healthy fats! Make adjustments to your meals and see how your body reacts.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

This is one of those tasks that we all know is important but always seems to be prioritized last. Sometimes we get so involved in work or our day to day that we forget to drink water. I’m 100% guilty of that! Dehydration can lead to headaches and overall slower performance. Stay hydrated and figure out ways to add more water to your daily routine.

Change your environment

Get reinvigorated and try changing up your environment. If you work from home, head to a coffee shop or take a quick 10 minute walk around your office/neighborhood. Moving around will help with that mid afternoon slump.
