My Favorite Healthy Fats

All fats are not bad for you! “Bad” fats, such as artificial trans fats and saturated fats, are guilty of the unhealthy things all fats have been blamed for like gaining weight. “Good” fats such as unsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids have the opposite effect. In fact, healthy fats play a huge role in helping you manage your moods, stay on top of your mental game, fight fatigue, and even control your weight.

Sharing some of my favorite healthy fats below:

Nut Butter: loaded with heart-healthy monounsaturated fats. These fats help increase HDL cholesterol (the good kind) while keeping LDL cholesterol (the bad kind) in check.

Avocado: a source of vitamins C, E, K, and B6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They contain high levels of healthy, beneficial fats, which can help a person feel fuller between meals.

Healthy oils (olive, coconut, avocado): has more nutrients, antioxidants, and heart-healthy fats. It can help improve cholesterol, kill harmful bacteria, and boost metabolism.
