Tips for Those Days You Don't Feel Like Working Out

We’ve ALL been there, myself included. With the holidays coming up, it can be hard to find the motivation to workout, especially when it’s the last thing you want to be doing. This happens to everyone, if you’ve been putting in the work or if you’re feeling like it’s hard to get back on track from the weekend or a vacation. 

Sometimes we all need a little push and motivation to get moving, sharing some of my favorite tips:

1. Check IG

I know this sounds silly but I always find motivation on Instagram from my fellow friends who are posting their workouts or just motivational quotes on the explore page. Take a few minutes to scroll and remind yourself why you workout. 

2. Show up

The hardest part is showing up! Put on your favorite workout outfit and get yourself out the front door. Once you are there you will feel in the zone and power through. 

3. Give yourself a time limit

High intensity workouts are my favorite and tend to only require 45 mins to 1 hour. Give yourself a time limit and you will most likely hustle harder. 

4. Reward yourself

This always works for me! I loveee my post workout smoothie, so reminding myself I will get one post workout is enough for me to get to the gym asap. 

5. Remember how happy you will feel

There’s no such thing as a bad workout! If you made it to the gym, worked out then that’s something to be proud of. If you are feeling unmotivated, remember how great that post workout feeling is.
