What is Intermittent Fasting!?

Intermittent fasting is simply eating all your calories within a specific time window. For example, between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.  Outside of that time you fast and it can be very usual for losing weight! Giving your body all the nutrients it needs within a smaller window of time allows your body to detox with a longer fast period.

The most common method of intermittent fasting is fasting for 14-16 hours (with the exception of tea/coffee) and constricting your daily eating to 8-10 hours. In the 8-10 hour window, you’ll eat 3 meals.

This is something I try and do 3-4 day a week. I stop eating after dinner around 6/7 pm and workout in the mornings. I make sure to drink a LOT of water throughout the day and drink coffee or tea at night if I’m craving something sweet. It’s sooo important to fuel your body with foods that will help you stay fuller longer, high protein is key!

It’s important to pay attention to what works for you. What works for some, may not work for others! If you try it and feel like it’s interfering with your energy levels or hormones, it may not be for you.
