My Current Healthy Habits

I feel like we are constantly seeing a new “That Girl” routine online. Wake up at 5 a.m., drink a green juice, journal, work out, meditate, make a perfectly balanced breakfast and somehow do all of that before 8 a.m.

Cute in theory. Not always realistic.

Lately, I have been more into wellness habits that actually fit into my life. The little things I genuinely enjoy and can see myself sticking with long term.

Heated Workout Classes

One of my favorite additions lately has been heated workout classes.

I have been loving heated Pilates and sculpt classes, especially after strength training. I love that they give me a completely different feeling from lifting weights.

Heated Pilates and sculpt also focus so much on the core. I love leaving class feeling like I really worked those muscles. The heat definitely makes those small controlled movements feel even more challenging.

I also love that it does not have to be an either or situation. I can strength train while adding Pilates, sculpt, walking or stretching into my routine.

My Waist Trainer + Waist Trimmer

Another part of my current routine has been my waist trainer and waist trimmer.

I use my waist trainer during the day when I am running errands or going about my day. I personally love the feeling of the extra compression.

For workouts, I use my waist trimmer. I sweat so much during my workouts, especially during heated classes.

ClassPass

I have also been loving ClassPass.

One of my favorite things is being able to try different workouts and classes without feeling stuck doing the same thing every week.

I can do Pilates one day, sculpt another, strength training another and try something completely different when I feel like switching it up.

It has made working out feel more fun. Sometimes the best workout is simply the one you actually want to show up for.

Making Wellness Feel Fun

I am also trying to stop treating wellness like a checklist.

Sometimes wellness is a workout. Sometimes it is going for a walk, taking a long shower, drinking enough water or getting into bed early.

I have realized that the habits that stick are usually the ones that make me feel good rather than the ones that make me feel like I need to become a completely different person.

Right now, my version of being “That Girl” is pretty simple. Move your body, try things you enjoy, take care of yourself, rest and find little routines that make you excited about your day.

The goal is not to have the most perfect routine. It is to create a routine you actually want to keep.
